Dispensary

Dispensary.jpgOn this side of the street also was the Health Centre, known locally as the Dispensary, a red-bricked building which was erected in 1898 by the Guardians of the Poor of the Balrothery Union. The Guardians were ahead of their time as is shown in the story of Patrick Cleary whom they sent to Paris for treatment.
