In St Colmcille’s BNS, all children from 3rd and 4th classes are encouraged to attend swimming lessons for 6 weeks each year in Sportslink, Santry. The swimming is organised by the school and the children are transported to and from the swimming during school hours. The time of year when classes attend depends on the school rota and considers times when different age groups are preparing for Communion or Confirmation. Parents are given adequate notice to organise for the additional cost of the transport.
