St.Colmcille's offers all children between 3rd and 6th class the chance to participate in FAI run soccer events. The school soccer team has participated in the Fingal League for over 30 years and over the years achieved great success. Football takes place both during lunch breaks and after school and there is no charge for this after school activity. We are very lucky to have access to and the use of our large school field within the school grounds and rely on the generosity of local soccer clubs to play our home games. Over the years, the school's 3rd and 4th class students have participated in the annual FAI Futsal soccer event at the National Sports Campus and the school's 5th &6th class students have participated in the annual SPAR FAI Primary 5s event . In addition to this, the school runs summer soccer leagues for all children from 1st to 6th class. At all times the main aim for school football is to encourage participation and to emphasise a sense of fair play amongst the children.
